Active Production and Design's President Matt Clouser was recently awarded one of Atlantan Magazines "Men of the Year" in their Annual Men's Book. Matt received the award for "Tech Man of the Year" because of Active's numerous contributions to the Atlanta Event Industry. Matt, along with several other notables from various industries (including actor Ed Helms), received their award at a ceremony held at Bentley Atlanta.
In 1997, Matt got his first bank loan to buy 6 High End System Intellabeams. His mom cosigned the loan as Matt was only 21 at the time. Matt and his company, Active Lighting and Design, used these fixtures to grow the business by leaps and bounds. After several years, Matt sold these fixtures to a local ice skating rink to make room for new inventory. Now, years later the lights came home! They had run their course in the ice rink and Matt (pictured left with the fixtures) got to once again, touch the lights that took his business to the next level in the early years of the company. Matt states. “My babies have come home. It means so much to see these lights again. I think about all the great shows that these lights helped us to produce!” Thanks High End Systems and everyone who helped Active Production and Design become the company it is today!

The origin story of Active Production and Design as told by the Owner / President Matt Clouser.
Active Production and Design’s Social Division was honored to be a part of, The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Nene Leake’s, wedding. Our team designed this made for TV wedding using 100,000 lit crystals, wall-washes, uplights and chandeliers of different tiers. The transformation of the venue was an exquisite and a one of a kind romantic fairy tale wedding! Nene herself describes her million dollar wedding to be a dream come true! We are so proud of our social division for their innovative and creative out of the box ‘dreaming’ on this spectacular wedding event!
Inside Weddings spotlighted Kandi Burruss-Tucker and recognized our Social Division team as the Lighting and Audio Visual Designers! Our team was honored to be a part of the event planning team and was thrilled to transform the venue with splashes and washes of lighting. Having celebrity entertainers, our sound system was key; as we all know, music keeps the guests entertained! Everyone had a beautiful time, and Kandi herself said this was the wedding we were meant to have. Active Production and Design loves having the opportunity to be a part of Kandi’s memorable moment and our other bridal clients.
Martha Stewart Real Weddings Special Edition took notice of one of our social division’s lighting creation! Our team highlighted this already rustic and historic wedding getaway by simply adding pinspots and wall washes. You can see the pinspot lights hanging from above to illuminate the elegant centerpieces and the wall washes to make the room glow! Sometimes just adding a touch of light can transform beauty into breath-taking.
